A Battered Book

Snakes!

I spent what felt like all of yesterday in a cave full of snakes!

And elves who turned into snakes. I don't understand why they would want to do that. My belly gets cold easily and snakes just slide around on them and the cave was cold and wet. Crazy. At least the sun was still out when I got out! Then I went to that Kodo place. Some cute silly cow girl seemed very lost and confused. I tried to woo her, it didn't work. Apparently Red's advice made my hair purple and not red. Maybe I didn't put enough in. Red and blue makes purple, and my hair's blue, so adding red would make it purple. I just need to drown out the blue and I'll be super-dreamy.

Oh right, I was going to see wolf-men and probably kill them too.

I keep forgetting I have this thing. I'm not too used to writing in it yet. That and I don't know what kind of things should go in here. Nothing too exciting has happened in the past few days. Just practicing with magic and turning centaur into sheep and killing quilboar.

I keep running into people who are always so sad and mopey. I don't know why people do that. It's hardly any fun to go around being sad! It's like they don't want to be cheered up, because whenever I try to do something they just look at me all angry-like or shoo me away.

Elves especially!

I think I'm getting too old. My memory's going. I keep forgetting stuff. Someone turned... 64? I think. Sounded like one of them orcs. They live a long time, don't they? And the dead guys... well, I guess they don't really live forever, since they ARE dead, but they don't die again unless you kill them! So I hear. I wonder if Samedi doesn't like humans much...

Now I remember, I was going to go to Orgrimmar and see about them portals.

Went to that Kodo thing again. I don't know why they call it a Kodo when it doesn't even look like one. I'd love to see a kodo-shaped building! Maybe even live in one.

Red was there and we tried getting the patrons to party with us. It didn't exactly work. Those elves are kind of mopey or stuck-up. They should lighten up, maybe people would like them better. Red also said that on Friday there's going to be a big raid on the Alliance posts! That should be fun. I'll stay back this time to keep from losing body parts or my life like my brother. Turns out heads don't grow back. I'll make a note to keep mine!

I'm going to head on over to the Gulch place to practice, I think.

And me being recruited into the army is like a whole new chapter. I should start keeping things as an actual book in case I ever get old and forgetful. I'm halfway there, being old and all!

Haven't been recruited for anything important since Hyjal. That was forever ago. There probably won't be any crazy epic battles like that this time around, but that's okay. Last time I lost a tusk and half my leg. If I can keep limbs I need nowadays, I'm good. Sure they come back eventually, but trying to handle things for a few days without them? Hard.

I need to get some more of those talking stones to keep in my pants!
